Classic & Sports Car Brings Automotive History Alive with New Digital Archive
The legacy of Britain’s best-selling classic car magazine, Classic & Sports Car, stretches back to 1982, and its full archive can now be enjoyed by readers through publishing services platform Exact Editions. Both individual and institutional subscribers can browse and search more than four decades of issues, including special collectors’ editions.
Classic & Sports Car is essential reading for any motoring enthusiast who is looking to buy, maintain, or restore classic machinery. The magazine includes road tests, car purchasing advice and book reviews, as well as event and auction coverage.
Highlights in the magazine’s 43-year archive include a road test of the spectacular Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa (1982), a race between a Bugatti Type 51 and Stampe SV4C biplane (1984), driving the original Batmobile along the New Jersey Turnpike (1989), as well as coverage of the infamous – and expensive – restoration of Rowan Atkinson’s McLaren F1 (2013).
Researchers and enthusiasts alike can seamlessly access past issues using Exact Editions’ comprehensive search function across web, iOS and Android platforms. Institutional subscriptions are also authenticated site-wide, with comprehensive remote access options.
