Well, at our industry media awards, that just happened to Caravan. First up, our brilliant caravanning freelance, Gayle Ripper, won the Caravan Writers Guild ‘Writer of the Year’ award for her moving and inspirational account of how caravanning transformed her family’s lifestyle when hubby, Chris, was diagnosed with cancer. Ultimately, it’s a heart-warming tale and you can read it at caravan.ma/gaylesstory Gayle said: “I am over the moon! The trophy will take pride of place in our home and we will put the prize money towards our summer caravan trip to the Black Forest. I will also be donating to our local hospital, Stepping Hill, which played a major part in Chris' recovery.” And there was more! Caravan also won Video of the Year for its epic short film about Swift’s Basecamp adventure caravan.
