It officially launches in Advent 2017 but organisers hope that the webpage will help churches prepare for the initiative’s arrival, and that the site will be a focal point for information about the programme. Resources will include an introductory leaflet explaining the initiative, a prayer bookmark and an especially-commissioned Advent liturgy. A ‘Walking the Way’ footprint prayer cord (pictured) is being produced for sale through the website. Audio-visual material includes an animated video and interview footage from people of varying walks of life answering questions such as: ‘What are churches for?’ Organisers hope that this footage will be used within churches as discussion starters. As ‘Walking the Way’s launch draws nearer, more resources and information will be made available. To view, order and download ‘Walking the Way’ resources, or to keep up to date with news about the initiative, visit www.urc.org.uk/wtw.
